The complaint alleges defendants borrowed the plaintiff's Massey-Harris tractor and plow and while using the tractor in plowing their land tipped it over and it caught on fire and was damaged beyond repair. That by reason of the loss of the use of the tractor and plow the plaintiffs have had to expend money to hire the work done on their farm. Plaintiffs pray judgment against the defendants in the sum of $2501. Attorneys Fearer & Nye represent the plaintiffs. (p.2) And again in the same paper on Wednesday May 9th, 1945 Damages in the amount of $450 was assessed against Albert Clankie and Fred Clankie in favor of Leona Lukowski by Judge Leon A. Zick in Ogle county Circuit court.
