| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
Linguistics, the study of natural languages, has several subfields. One of them of the study of the grammatical meaning of languages, which is called semantics. The research in this seminar centralizes `formal' semantics, with logical, philosophical, mathematical or computational methodologies. The formal approach also includes the application of the social choice theory in economics. | ||

Students complete their research project and submit their graduation thesis. | ||
| 授業内容 ／Course contents |
Students participate in their own research and present their progress during seminars and receive feedbacks from the instructor and classmates. The project papers, manuscripts and presentation slides need to be uploaded on Manaba course page-> Projects so that the instructor writes comments and feedbacks. Supplementary, we will skim through MLA Handbook and other paper format to aid paper writing. |

The members are encouraged to attend one of the following summer schools on their own expense: -36th European Summer School in Logic, Language and Information (ESSLLI) in Ruhr University Bochum, Germany between July 28 and August 8, 2025. |
