授業の目的・方法 /Course Objectives and method |
This seminar is intended to help students develop basic academic skills through data analysis, with a focus on education and labor in Hokkaido this year. In the first half of the course, students will work individually on small tasks, such as giving short presentations and writing short reports on topics given by the instructor. In the second half of the course, students will work in groups. Each group will find a research question related to education or labor in Hokkaido and analyze data to answer it. Each group will be required to submit a report and give a presentation on their findings. The instructor will provide tips and general advice regarding data visualization, report writing, presentation skills, etc. Additionally, students will receive comments and advice on their reports and presentations from both the instructor and their peers. |

Students will be given some amount of time to work on their reports and presentations during class, but they will probably need to work outside of class to finish your reports and preparation for presentations. In addition, they will also need some time to read a report by another group and write some comments on it. | ||
