授業の目的・方法
/Course Objectives and method
The course aims to develop students' academic presentation skills in English. Through practical exercises, students will be prepared to present their work at domestic and international conferences. Students will learn the general techniques required for academic presentations and apply them to their own field. Students will also learn how to give effective feedback and be able to evaluate their own presentations.

By the end of this course, students will be able to deliver clear and persuasive presentations confidently.

2. Resources: Presentations on TED and YouTube
3. The basics of conferences
4. Preparing a script before you create the slides
5. Pronunciation, intonation, and speed of voice / Title
6. Starting your presentation: giving the big picture
7. Agenda
8. Explaining technical slides
9. The visual aspect of slides
10. The conclusions and final slide, Q&A Session
11. Practising, improving, and getting feedback
12. Poster presentation
13. Poster presentation by Students

/Preparation and review class
In most cases, no prior study is required, as activities, including readings, are generally done during class. However, you may be asked to prepare a presentation before class.

成績評価の方法
/Grading
Active involvement in class discussions, including very short presentations: 40%
Presentations (poster presentation,  final oral presentation): 60%
成績評価の基準
/Grading Criteria
Since this class includes practical exercises, class attendance and active participation are vital for success. The evaluation of your presentation will be based on whether you have applied what you have learned in the class.
Your final grade will be based on the total score:

A(秀): 100-90 
Excellent performance on the requirements of the class
B(優): 89-80
Good performance on the requirements of the class
C(良): 79-70
Acceptable performance on the requirements of the class
D(可): 69-60
Minimally acceptable performance on the requirements of the class
F(不可): 59-0
Unacceptable performance on the requirements of the class

1. This course is conducted entirely in English.

2. The course schedule and course contents are subject to change depending on the needs of the students and the size of the class.

3. About Using AI Tools:
• You may use AI tools to generate ideas, explore different ways to express concepts and receive language support.
• However, using AI to complete entire presentations or scripts is prohibited. Not following this rule could lower your grade or cause you to fail the course.
