| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
Research Paper I (RP1 Econ) and Research Paper II (RP2 Econ) are companion to Glocal Seminar III (GS3 Econ) and IV (GS4 Econ). They are compulsory for OUC students in the Glocal Management Program and optional for YOUC international students who enroll in the GS3 Econ and GS4 Econ. Students who enroll in GS3 can register for the RP1 and are expected to write an individual research proposal under the guidance of the GS3 instructor by the end of the semester. Students who enroll in GS4 can register for the RP2 and are expected to write an individual or group research paper under the guidance of the GS4 instructor by the end of the semester. |

The goals of RP1 and RP2 are to develop skills to write individual academic research papers. | ||
| 授業内容 ／Course contents |
Four instructors are in charge of GS3 or GS4. Profs. Ikeda and Matsumoto are in charge of the economics-oriented series, while Profs. Kobayashi and Wang are of the commerce-oriented series. They give instructions on RP1 and RP2 to students who register for them. Generally, the content covers the structure and style of academic papers, citations, literature reviews, descriptions of data, methodologies, and analytic outcomes, and tips for writing the introduction and conclusion sections. However, the instruction content could differ student by student depending on their research theme and degree of progress. | ||

| 履修上の注意事項 ／Remarks |
Students must enroll in GS3 and GS4 to obtain the course credits of RP1 and RP2, respectively. Also, students must attend the course orientation session, where course details are given. The session schedule will be announced through Manaba. |
