topics: Linguistics, especially formal semantics and social choice theory

Linguistics, the study of natural languages, has several subfields. One of them of the study of the grammatical meaning of languages, which is called semantics. The research in this seminar centralizes `formal' semantics, with logical, philosophical, mathematical or computational methodologies. The formal approach also includes the application of the social choice theory in economics.
