授業の目的・方法
/Course Objectives and method
The human language allows us to communicate using abstract meanings using various symbols, such as speech, sign, or images. To facilitate the communication in English as a foreign language, it is helpful to know how the human language as a system of meanings help us communicate efficiently. In this course, the student will be introduced to the basic concepts of semantics (the study of meanings) and pragmatics (the study of discourse).
