授業の目的・方法 /Course Objectives and method |
This course discusses the topics of negation and indexicality in English language. Negative words are not limited to the negative ``not" but the strength varies depending on words and phrases. For example, what is the difference between ``Students do not speak Thai" and ``No students speak Thai"? The course also discusses so called indexicals such as ``I" ``you" ``here" and ``today."
