You will develop a critical understanding of the role of culture in intercultural communication among English users. In particular, you will see how dynamic culture is, with reference to empirical studies in applied linguistics. | ||

[Weeks 1–15] Active class participation (10%) [Week 4, 6, or 9] Group presentation (20%) [Weeks 8 and 12] Exams (40%) [Week 14 or 15] Paper presentation (10%) [Week 16] Final paper (20%) *Specific evaluation criteria and preparation tips, as well as the class policy on the use of generative AI tools, are discussed in class. |
