授業の目的・方法
/Course Objectives and method
This is a second-year English course. The focus will be on improving all four skills, but particularly speaking and reading.
達成目標
/Course Goals
This will be a course of general English. Goals include: a. Build self-confidence in their speaking abilities as applicable to a variety of settings. b. Express themselves at a professional level in English. c. Build a stronger knowledge of the cultures that use English and how they may be the same or differ from Japan.

成績評価の方法
/Grading
Participation in the weekly discussions is 50% of your grade. There will be weekly homework assignments. A folder of these assignments will be due on the last day of class. This will account for the other 50%.
成績評価の基準
/Grading Criteria
Students who do well in this class are those who come to class each week prepared and ready to speak, and who speak at every opportunity. They also do the homework assignments on time and with effort.

This class will be face to face with some flexibility to do occasional classes via Zoom, or On Demand, if necessary.
