| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
Students will learn to choose appropriate topics, evaluate sources, and cite and support their positions, culminating in final paper and presentation. Students will also learn important skills and strategies for improving their writing through reflection, and peer and instructor feedback. | ||

The goals of this class are to develop graduate students' writing and critical thinking skills in English through the researching, drafting, and completion of a graduate level research paper. | ||
| 授業内容 ／Course contents |
#1 Class Introduction . This class will be the introduction to the requirements of the class. #2 Selecting a topic . In this class, the basics of selecting a topic will be discussed. This is very important for writing a good essay. Once a topic is selected, various techniques for organizing the ideas for the essay will be discussed. #3 Outlining. This session will discuss a very important technique for writing the essay, that of making an outline. #5 Sentence development. In this class, students will practice developing sentences in a paragraph. Important for this are the various types of sentences. #6 Paragraph development. In this class, students will practice developing paragraphs in an essay. Important for this are the various types of paragraphs. #7 Writing Conferences #8 Writing Conferences #9 Writing Conferences #10 Writing Conferences #11 Writing Conferences #12 Writing Conferences #13 Writing Conferences #14 Writing Conferences #15 Final writing session. |
