**Most of the speaking practice is done in-class. There are no notes you can copy from classmates. Therefore, attendance is vital to improving English and doing well in the class. This course is a face-to-face style. Communication is possible online, but it is best done in-person. Also, there is no better way to have a 'normal' university experience than by meeting your classmates in the classroom. In this class, you learn English by using it. Teacher feedback comes in the form of red-pen edits & suggestions in submitted essays and test papers. It is vital for learning that students check and understand their mistakes. Also, students can receive feedback on English fluency from classmates during in-class active learning exercises. |
