授業の目的・方法 /Course Objectives and method |
This course aims to improve students' fundamental reading skills with particular attention to vocabulary development, understanding denotation and connotation, making inferences and judgments, reading comprehension, fluency and interpretation. Each week, students will be assigned short reading materials on a variety of topics and a short video to be watched before class. In class, we will work on increasing reading fluency, expanding vocabulary and improving understanding of challenging texts. |

Improve students' ability to read clearly and carefully in English. Infer the meaning of specific words in a given reading text and use them in the appropriate context. Find the main idea in the reading text. Find the writer's attitude and point of view. |
