| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
The objectives of this course are two: 1. To study the different theories of second language learning and acquisition; 2. To give the students lesson experience through mock lessons and classes. This class will cover many different methods of teaching a language lesson. It will focus on Task-based Language Teaching. It is very important that you have an English textbook from high school or junior high school. If we cannot meet in person because of the Corona and we have to meet online, please have your own textbook ready. A textbook may be provided to you in case you threw your English textbook away. (Which you shouldn't have done if you intend to become an English teacher.) |

| 達成目標 ／Course Goals |
The goal of this course is that you understand that there are many ways to teach a language lesson. When the students have finished, they should have a shared knowledge of the theories behind many, many methods of teaching. These theories include concepts that language learning is the formation of a habit or that it is the product of interacting with a shared task and goal. |

Please understand that you will need to use a computer since the class may be online. However, I am hoping that the Corona will have passed and that we can do face-to-face classes. There will be many subjects on the website for you to study. What you need to bring to this class is a relaxed attitude towards English. |
