For this class, e will use short videos and online quizzes. Each lesson will have the following parts: Preparation: Study the vocabulary using Quizlet. Do all the activities and take the test. Do this before you watch the video. When you are watching the video, try to find the vocabulary words and see how they are used. Learning: Watch the assigned video. The video may seem very difficult at first, but do not worry. You can find the transcript both in English and in Japanese. You can also watch the video with subtitles, English or Japanese. The videos are very short, around 5 minutes long. Please watch each video several times until you understand the content. Use the subtitles, use the script and check out the Japanese version to help you understand. Once you understand the content, watch again paying attention to the sounds. You have finished your learning part only when you can understand what the speaker is saying without help from subtitles or script. Checking: take the Edpuzzle test. Edpuzzle is a video quiz. You will watch again the video and answer questions, The questions on Edpuzzle are usually open questions. You do not need to write very much. Keep your answers short and to the point. |
