| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
The course will provide various learning activities through which you will improve your English listening skills, English reading skills, English grammar and English vocabulary. The course aims to improve your scores on any official English language tests including TOEIC. There will be four areas of focus: 1. Listening: in order to get used to the pronunciation of English, speaking activities will be provided together 2. Grammar: learn the basic rules of English and use them in practice 3. Reading: includes extensive reading, intensive reading, speed reading, scanning, skimming, and reading aloud 4. Vocabulary: words that appear in the main textbook and the vocabulary book will be covered on the weekly tests * All lessons will be provided remotely via Zoom Meetings. （本講義は、Zoomを使用したリアルタイム配信で実施予定です） |

学期末までに以下の技能レベルに達することを目標とします： Upon completing this course, the students will be able to: 1. Improve your English reading and listening skills to raise your score on the end of course TOEIC IP test. 2. Reinforce the four skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing) in English 3. Increase vocabulary to improve the overall English skills 4. Obtain a high score on any official English language tests including TOEIC |

In order to get a credit for this course you need to meet the following criteria: * Complete all the weekly lessons by the weekly deadlines. * Participate in class discussions. * Attend class each week. You must not be absent more than 4 classes during the course. * To get a credit for this course you must complete all the course materials and take the end of course TOEIC IP Test. * Attend class each week. Letter Grade & Percentage Description S (秀) 90-100 Excellent: Superior performance, showing comprehensive understanding of subject matter. A (優) 80-89 Good: Clearly above average performance with knowledge of subject matter generally complete. Required proficiency to advance to next level. B (良) 70-79 Approaching: satisfactory performance. C (可) 60-69 Minimal: Limited performance, insufficient preparation to advance to the next level. |

1.このコースは、通常の英語IDコースのすべてのコース要件を完了し、コース終了時のTOEIC IPテストで合格点に達しなかった学生のうち、その他の条件を満たす学生にのみ公開されています。 2. 英語ⅠDの単位取得のためには、本学で実施されるTOEIC IPテストを受験し、さらに平常点においても所定の基準を満たさなければなりません。 3. なお、所属クラスの決定は、言語センターが行います。やむを得ない理由（学科科目の重複等）によるクラスの変更、履修の辞退については、言語センターまでお尋ねください。 |
