| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
The purpose of this lesson is to help students improve their academic reading, listening, and note-taking skills. The focus of the lesson will be on increasing vocabulary, improving reading and listening comprehension, taking better notes, and using the information with notes. This class provides a stimulating, content-based approach that helps students develop their reading, listening, note-taking, and discussion skills in English while studying relevant topics. | ||

Students can listen to the academic lecture and can learn the vocabulary related to each topic covered and develop reading, listening and note-taking skills. Students aim to review, discuss and summarize the points mentioned in the lecture of each unit. |

[Before every lesson] Students should check the new vocabulary listed on the text to prepare for the vocab quiz and do homework(45 min.). [After every lesson] Students should review vocabulary, further research on a topic and plan what to talk in the discussion session (30 min.). |

| 成績評価の方法 ／Grading |
Grades will be based on homework & in-class participation(20%), vocabulary & comprehension quiz (20%), note-taking (36%), and final exam (24%). Every lesson, students have to hand in a note-taking sheet. 3 points for each sheet (3×12 units = 36 points). | ||
