授業の目的・方法 /Course Objectives and method |
This is a second year English course, that will focus on all four skills: speaking, writing, listening, and reading. It is a content-based learner-centered course. Half of the class will be dedicated to the textbook, while the other half of the course will be an introduction to western (mainly American) rock music. The second half each class will make use of the music library in the Gengo Center. | ||

成績評価の方法 /Grading |
Attendance and participation are very important for this class. Because this is a learner-centered course, the students are required to actively participate. If they fail to do so, their grade will reflect that. There is also a folder of work that will be collected and graded at the end of the semester. If the folder is done poorly, you will fail the class, no matter your attendance. Please take this into consideration. | ||

Attendance and participation make up roughly half of the grade. The remainder is the result of the final folder of work done throughout the semester. | ||
