授業の目的・方法 /Course Objectives and method |
The purpose of this lesson is to help students improve their academic reading, listening, and note-taking skills. The focus of the lesson will be on increasing vocabulary, improving reading and listening comprehension, taking better notes, and using the information with notes. This class provides a stimulating, content-based approach that helps students develop their reading, listening, note-taking, and discussion skills, while studying relevant topics. | ||
達成目標 /Course Goals |
Students can listen to the academic lecture and can learn the vocabulary related to each topic covered and develop reading, listening and note taking skills. Students aim to review, discuss and summarize the points mentioned in the lecture of each unit. |

[Before every lesson] Students should check the new vocabulary listed on the text to prepare for the vocab quiz (30 min.). [After every lesson] Students should review vocabulary, further research on topic and plan what to talk in discussion session (30 min.). |

Grades will be based on in-class participation (20%), vocabulary & comprehension quiz (20%), note-taking (36%), and final exam (24%) Every lesson, students have to hand in a note-taking sheet. 3 points for each sheet (3×12 units = 36 points). |
