| 授業の目的・方法 ／Course Objectives and method |
This course is offered for those interested in Japanese culture and behavioral patterns and learning how to respond to questions by non-Japanese persons. International students are also encouraged to take this course to understand Japanese culture to lead a better life here by sharing views on various topics discussed and argued by an American professor and a Japanese professor. | ||

By the end of the semester, you are expected to: 1. Deepen your understanding of Japanese culture and behavioral patterns; 2. Discuss various topics in English skillfully; 3. Answer questions by non-Japanese persons appropriately. |

1. Preview the lesson and read two essays in advance and prepare for discussion. Make extra research to discuss better before you come to class. 2. After each lesson, try to speak to international students on campus to discuss the topic |

1. Be punctual. A tardy will be counted as one absence. Coming to the classroom without the textbook will also be counted as one absence. With three absences, you will fail this class. 2. Speak English only. You are allowed to speak English only. You could be kicked out of the room the moment you speak Japanese. 3. Preview Read assigned essays in advance and prepare for discussion. |
