We will read articles about language and linguistic issues published in the media, consider the accuracy of the information presented and discuss the issues. We will consider topics ranging from linguistic theories to political correctness. | ||

Grading will reflect the degree of achievement of goals a-c as follows: 100-90: exceptional contribution to the class 89-80: strong performance 79-70: meets expectations 69-60: meets expectations with support 59-0: performs below expectations Goals: (a) show understanding of the linguistic topics discussed (b) doing the required research (c) take part in discussion |
