授業の目的・方法 /Course Objectives and method |
The objective of this course is to understand the cause of successes and failures of the Japanese economy, and to learn innovative public policies and corporate management for creating a better and prosperous society. To achieve this objective, we study the past history and the present problems Japan faces, and project the future course Japan could take. We study Japan in comparison to other countries as well as in the context of the world economy. The main method of learning comprises historical data analysis, case studies, and classroom discussions. | ||

Grades will be determined based on attendance, assignment, and contributions to the class through discussion. Assignment: Submit a short research paper (4-8 pages) on the general or a specific topic of each chapter (from Chapter 2). Attendance (30), Assignment (70), and Class Contribution (+ Alpha) |
