Increasing awareness of essay types and structure Enhance ability to formulate statements of purpose, to use appropriately citation, text connectives, paragraphing, and punctuation. Students will work collaboratively with their classmates and through Skype with students from the University of Transilvania Brasov. |

授業内容 /Course contents |
1. Orientation 2-5 Unit 1: From presentation to essay In this unit students will make presentations about their city, view presentations made by colleagues from UTB and write a short essay based on the presentations. 6-10 Unit 2: Survey report Students will make a survey about life in their city, collect answers and write an essay based on the data. 11-13 Unit 3: Using literature Students will read literature about the history of their city, present it to the class and write a literature review. 14-15 Unit 4: Writing a longer essay Students will use the materials created in Units1-3 to write a longer essay. |
